Congresswoman Deborah Ross, representing North Carolina's 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared her thoughts on several pressing issues via social media. Her posts highlighted local achievements and addressed significant policy concerns.

On February 21, 2025, Ross acknowledged the accomplishments of young leaders in Wake County. She stated, "Wake County is full of future leaders who are already impacting their communities." She congratulated Zion, Dominick, and other award recipients from the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County and wished them success at the state competition.

Later that day, Ross criticized proposed staffing cuts affecting aid administration for rebuilding homes and supporting small businesses in Western North Carolina. In a tweet posted on February 21, 2025, she described these actions as "reprehensible," especially during winter. Ross emphasized her opposition by stating that she, along with @ValerieFoushee and @RepAdams, sent a letter to President Trump demanding a halt to what she termed his "reckless plan." "Cutting staff that administer aid for rebuilding homes and supporting small businesses in Western North Carolina is reprehensible..."

In another post on February 21, 2025, Ross addressed the impact of staffing cuts on Forest Service employees working in North Carolina. She noted their crucial role in helping the state recover from Hurricane Helene. Ross expressed concern over these cuts' negative effects on the economy and residents of North Carolina. She urged an end to these measures by stating "The indiscriminate staffing cuts are bad for our economy, bad for our people, and bad for our state."
