Congresswoman Deborah Ross, representing North Carolina’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has been vocal on several issues through her social media posts. On February 13, 2025, she addressed concerns regarding federal funding for critical health research and expressed opposition to potential cuts by the then-President.

On February 13, 2025, Congresswoman Ross highlighted the importance of federal funding for medical research conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She stated, "NIH conducts vital research related to cancer, Alzheimer's, and other serious diseases. We must protect this life-saving funding from the whims of President Trump."

In a subsequent post on February 14, 2025, Ross pointed out a potential conflict of interest involving Elon Musk's investigation into an unnamed agency. She remarked that "Musk investigating the agency that shells out billions of dollars to him is a clear conflict of interest."

On the same day, Congresswoman Ross shared her participation in cultural celebrations within her community. She tweeted about celebrating the Lunar New Year and extended wishes for peace in North Carolina and beyond. Her message read: "Great celebrating the Lunar New Year and ushering in the Year of the Snake. Wishing everyone in NC and beyond a year of peace with loved ones."
