Congresswoman Deborah Ross, representing North Carolina's 2nd district, shared a series of tweets on January 28, 2025. Her posts covered topics ranging from sports to tax filing and concerns over federal actions impacting state programs.

In her first tweet on January 28, Ross expressed support for the NC State men's basketball team as they prepared to face Duke University. She wrote: "Good luck to @PackMensBball against @DukeMBB tonight! #GoPack".

Later that day, at 16:00 UTC, Ross informed her constituents about the start of the tax filing season. She attributed this convenience to Democratic efforts and encouraged early electronic filing through IRS Direct File. Her message read: "#NC02: Tax filing season has begun! Thanks to the work of Democrats, you can file early and electronically with IRS #DirectFile. It's convenient and costs less than traditional filing."

By the evening of January 28, Congresswoman Ross addressed a more serious issue concerning potential federal actions affecting state welfare programs. She tweeted: "My office is actively seeking clarification on what this grave action will mean for the people of our state, including FEMA reconstruction efforts and programs to support vulnerable children and the elderly."
