Today, Governor Josh Stein announced the appointment of Thomas Anglim as District Attorney for Prosecutorial District Two. This district includes Beaufort, Hyde, Martin, Tyrell, and Washington counties. Anglim will replace Seth H. Edwards, who has been elected as a Superior Court judge.

Anglim has a long career in prosecution. He most recently held the position of Chief Assistant District Attorney in Prosecutorial District Two. His previous roles include serving five years as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina and eight years as an assistant district attorney across multiple districts before advancing to Chief Assistant District Attorney.
