NC State women's basketball team faced a challenging match against LSU, resulting in an 82-65 defeat at the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship game held in Nassau, Bahamas. Despite the loss, four players from NC State scored in double digits, with Saniya Rivers leading with 21 points. Rivers' performance earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

The game began with NC State taking an early lead as Aziaha James scored quickly after the tipoff. The team maintained momentum until a scoring drought allowed LSU to take control. By the end of the first quarter, NC State trailed 24-19.

In the second quarter, despite efforts by Rivers and James to close the gap, LSU extended their lead further. At halftime, NC State was behind 42-29.

During the third quarter, Mallory Collier's efforts helped narrow LSU's lead temporarily. However, LSU responded with another run to maintain their advantage going into the final quarter.

Maddie Cox contributed defensively in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to turn the tide for NC State. An 11-2 run by LSU sealed their victory.

LSU's effective shooting and rebounding were key factors in their win over NC State. The Tigers shot 53 percent from the field and outrebounded NC State significantly.

Rivers achieved a season-high score while James continued her streak of double-digit games. Madison Hayes and Zoe Brooks also made notable contributions during this matchup.

Looking ahead, NC State will host Ole Miss for the SEC/ACC Challenge on December 5th at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh. The game is set to be broadcast on ESPN2.
