Doug Warf, President of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced Amy Daniels as the new Executive Director of the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. Warf praised Daniels for her dedication to community service, stating, "Amy has an excellent reputation and record of working to make our communities a better place for so many people. Her energy and passion for mission-driven work and community engagement will be an asset to the Hurricanes Foundation."

Daniels brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Vice President of Community Partnerships at the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in Durham. Before that, she served 17 years as Director of the UNC Health Foundation, which focuses on improving healthcare access across North Carolina. An NC State University alumna, Daniels has also worked with organizations such as SPCA of Wake County and North Carolina Amateur Sports.

The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation is committed to supporting health and education initiatives within underserved communities. Recently, it announced a $50,000 donation to help rebuild Asheville Hockey League's outdoor rink damaged by Hurricane Helene. The foundation will further support this cause by matching up to $25,000 when the league's GoFundMe campaign reaches its goal.
