The North Carolina Republican Party has announced a donation drive to support the victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. The hurricane has caused significant damage, and relief efforts are urgently needed.
"Our hearts are breaking as we see the severe damage inflicted by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina," said a spokesperson for the party. "We won’t know for days, or weeks, the lasting impact on our neighbors — but we do know right now they need our help,"
Donations can be made through organizations such as the American Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse, and United Way. Additionally, several Trump Force 47 offices will be collecting non-perishable goods, clothing, batteries, and other items for disaster relief. These offices are located at several cities in the area, including:
- Charlotte: 1100 Central Ave
- Concord: 21 Union St S. Suite 201
- Greensboro: 5500 W. Friendly Ave Suite 101-A
- Pembroke: 106 N Main St.
- Raleigh: 1401 Sunday Dr. Suite 105
The initiative aims to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the hurricane as communities begin to assess and recover from the damage.
Much of the western part of the state experienced extreme flooding from the storm, with initial death counts well over 100 cases.
