The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) issued a statement on September 17, 2024, regarding Governor Tim Walz's visit to Asheville.
“Tim Walz has proven as governor of Minnesota he can’t be trusted. Under his leadership, Minnesota has seen violent crime go up, cut police funding, and raised taxes. His values are those of the radical far left and out of step with North Carolina and the American people,” said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
