Governor Roy Cooper signed four bills into law today. The newly enacted legislation includes Senate Bill 124: Predatory Roofing/Ins. Rebate Reform, House Bill 1020: Retirement Admin. Changes Act of 2024, House Bill 989: Retirement Service Purchase Rewrite Part III, and House Bill 988: 2024 Retirement Technical Corrections.
On the signing of Senate Bill 124, Governor Cooper stated, "This bipartisan legislation is an important step to provide necessary protections for North Carolinians and helps ensure that residents across the state are protected from unethical businesses which prey upon vulnerable people, particularly after storms when they need help the most."
