Deceased:
- Nicole Connors, B/F, 52
- Susan Karnatz, W/F, 49
- Mary Marshall, W/F, 35
- RPD Officer Gabriel Torres, H/M, 29 and
- 16-year-old white male
- Marcille Gardner, B/F, 59
- RPD Officer Casey Clark, W/M, 33

A press conference regarding last evening's mass shooting will be held around 8:30 a.m. this morning.

Police, city, and state officials will provide an update on the mass shooting Friday, October 14, at 8:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building, 222 West Hargett Street.
Background
- On Thursday, Oct. 13, Raleigh-Wake Emergency Communications received a call around 5:13 p.m. regarding a person shot near the 6000 block of Osprey Cove Drive.
- Five people died, including a Raleigh Police Officer.
- Two people were injured, one a Raleigh Police Officer who has been released from the hospital.
- A white, male juvenile suspect was arrested at 9:37 p.m.
- Multiple agencies assisted Raleigh Police in investigating the incident and apprehending the suspect.
9:45 p.m.:
The suspect has been taken into custody. Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.

A press conference regarding the ongoing active shooter situation was held shortly after 8:30 p.m. this evening at the Raleigh Municipal Building located at 222 W. Hargett Street.
Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, City Manager Marchell Adams-David, and Raleigh Police Department Lieutenant Jason Borneo were present.
