The Town of Apex strives to be a welcoming and diverse community with a sense of belonging for anyone that chooses to live, work, or visit and enjoy the peak of good living. The annual Pride festival is an example of how we embrace this goal. The festival is organized by the Apex Festival Commission with in-kind support from the Town of Apex. During the festival, there will be a number of activities for all ages to enjoy, one of which is Drag Queen Story Hour. The event encourages children to look beyond gender stereotypes and embrace exploration of self. It helps to prevent bullying by encouraging acceptance of our diversity and promoting a greater understanding of our differences. For more information on these events, visit their website.
