Durham Replacing Stormwater Infrastructure Along West Club Boulevard

22324351

Construction and Periodic Lane Closures Begin May 4

On May 4, the City of Durham Public Works Department will begin a construction project to replace a section of stormwater pipe on West Club Boulevard between Acadia Street and Farthing Street.

Vehicular traffic along this section of West Club Boulevard will be affected by periodic single-lane closures, and a motorist detour will be in place. Portions of the sidewalk on the north side of West Club Boulevard in this project area will also be closed during this time, and signed pedestrian detours will be provided.

Construction is expected to take approximately four months depending on weather conditions. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $942,000 and will be paid for through Stormwater Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funds.

For more information about this infrastructure repair project, contact Project Manager Carol Teabo with the City's Public Works Department by phone at (919) 905-9572 or by email.
