Wake County Veterans Services Office Relocating this Week

Veteran

Wake County issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.

The Wake County Veterans Services Office will open its new, permanent location at the Somerset Office Park, 4401 Bland Road, Raleigh, on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Staff members will be available to assist walk-ins from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This week, the office’s current location at 3000 Falstaff Road will be closed while employees relocate to the new facility. Staff will work electronically to continue providing full service to veterans during the move.

“Wake County is dedicated to helping our veterans navigate the complex world of veterans services and the benefits that are available to them,” said Vickie Adamson, vice chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners. “We look forward to continuing to offer that top-notch service—whether it be at this new location, virtually or by phone.”

The Wake County Veterans Services Office assists eligible veterans, their dependents and/or surviving spouses, children of deceased veterans, members of the Reserves or National Guard and active-duty service members in applying for benefits and services from the Department of Veterans Affairs and North Carolina Department of Military & Veterans Affairs.

Staff responds to email and phone calls from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the physical office is open for walk-ins from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Office hours are currently limited to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
