Wake County recently issued the following announcement.
With the possibility of freezing temperatures overnight and potential ice on the roadways in the morning, Wake County Government leaders have proactively decided to delay opening all County facilities until 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24. The safety of employees and our customers is paramount, which is why we want them to avoid driving or working in dangerous conditions.
The 10 a.m. start applies to:
- Wake County Public Health COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Clinics;
- Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space;
- Wake County Public Libraries;
- Wake County Waste and Recycling facilities;
- Wake County Animal Center.
All other Radeas and NCDHHS/Mako Medical testing sites in Wake County are opening at their normal times. Check WakeGov.com/testing for updates.
