Wake County Facilities to Open at 10 a.m. Monday due to Freezing Temperatures and Potential Ice

Wake County recently issued the following announcement.

With the possibility of freezing temperatures overnight and potential ice on the roadways in the morning, Wake County Government leaders have proactively decided to delay opening all County facilities until 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24. The safety of employees and our customers is paramount, which is why we want them to avoid driving or working in dangerous conditions.

The 10 a.m. start applies to:

All testing and vaccine appointment holders will receive an email to let them know they can return on Monday or Tuesday to their scheduled site where their appointment will be honored.

All other Radeas and NCDHHS/Mako Medical testing sites in Wake County are opening at their normal times. Check WakeGov.com/testing for updates.

Wake County residents who have non-emergency questions or issues can contact Wake County at 919-856-7044.

Members of the media who need to contact the Communications Office should call 919-857-WAKE or email  communications@wakegov.com.
