Wake County Public Health said that it will test for COVID-19 at its free drive-thru testing facility at the Sunnybrook Building parking deck, in eastern Raleigh at 2925 Holston Lane.
This round of testing will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 12, health officials said in a Sept. 3 announcement.
Appointments take place in 30-minute intervals from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Health officials said that there are 400 testing slots available. The tests are free. However, residents interested in being tested must follow three steps to RSVP their testing spot.
Residents should select a time slot by clicking on the signup link. Residents must also determine the date they’d like to be tested. Before arriving at the testing location, complete the provided registration form. Take a printout of the completed registration form or save to show the staff at the testing facility.
The testing is only available for those who are showing COVID-like symptoms, health officials said in the announcement, which includes: high fever, persistent coughing, experiencing shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting. Symptoms also include and loss of smell.
Tests are also reserved for residents who have been in close contact with other residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.
