Senator Phil Berger, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 26th Senate district since 2023, has recently used his social media platform to highlight developments in economic growth and education policy within the state.
On August 6, 2025, Berger emphasized the role of legislative efforts in transforming North Carolina’s economy. He stated, “In the General Assembly, I helped lead the charge to fundamentally shift our state’s economic outlook. Those efforts are helping us land transformative economic development projects, like JetZero, in Guilford County. With over 14,000 jobs at an average salary of $89,000, Guilford”.
Later that day on August 6, Berger addressed Governor Stein’s decision regarding education policy. He wrote: “Gov. Stein just vetoed another school choice bill Either you support school choice, or you don’t. Gov. Stein could have made North Carolina a leader in school choice and parental freedom by signing the Educational Choice for Children Act, but instead, he’s attempting to”.
On August 7, Berger turned attention to industrial investment in the state with a focus on Toyota’s new facility and workforce development initiatives: “Toyota saw what many others are recognizing – North Carolina is a hotbed for industrial growth. Toyota is bringing its state-of-the-art electric battery plant to the heart of North Carolina. Guilford Technical Community College is helping meet Toyota’s needs through its FAME”.
Berger succeeded Dave Craven as senator for District 26 after being elected in 2023.
