Senator Phil Berger, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 26th Senate district, has recently highlighted achievements and endorsements related to the state’s business climate, educational innovation, and public safety leadership in a series of social media posts.
On August 4, 2025, Berger posted that “North Carolina has been the No. 1 state for business three out of the last four years thanks to the General Assembly’s formula of low taxes, reasonable regulations, and top-notch education and workforce development opportunities. From JetZero, to Purina, and the numerous”.
The following day, August 5, Berger noted advancements in education within Rockingham County: “Rockingham County is setting a new standard for North Carolina. Rockingham Community College is now home to a first-of-its-kind Career and Technical Innovation High School in the state. This new school will prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, construction, and”.
On August 6, Berger announced an endorsement from a law enforcement organization: “Proud to be endorsed by the North Carolina Troopers Association ‘As President Pro Tempore of the North Carolina Senate, Senator Berger has consistently demonstrated strong, principled leadership and an unwavering commitment to public safety and the men and women of law'”.
Berger was elected to his current position in 2023 after replacing former state senator Dave Craven. As President Pro Tempore of the North Carolina Senate, he plays a central role in shaping legislative priorities for both economic development and public policy across the state.
