Senator Lisa Stone Barnes, who has represented North Carolina’s 11th Senate district since 2021, posted a series of messages in December recognizing the service of National Guard members and expressing support for American farmers.
Two days later, on December 15, she commented on recent federal assistance to farmers: “This is a big win for hardworking American farmers! I’m glad to see the USDA stepping in with a $12 billion farmer-bridge payment to help ease market disruptions and rising costs. #ncpol https://t.co/IReFUYxeYA”
On December 17, Barnes continued her focus on agriculture by posting: “North Carolina’s farmers work tirelessly year-round to keep our communities fed and our economy strong. As we head into the holiday season, I’m grateful for the dedication, resilience, and stewardship of our agricultural families. Thanks for what you do! #ncpol #ThankAFarmer https://t.co/kdZxfIG2xG”
Barnes was elected as a Republican to the North Carolina State Senate in 2021 after succeeding Rick Horner as senator for District 11.
