Representative Brian Echevarria, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 82nd district since 2025, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing the role of Christianity in state and national affairs.

On March 31, 2026, Echevarria questioned whether political and media figures have shifted away from Christian values. He wrote: “Have leftist politicians, operatives, and the legacy media become what I call A-B-C, Anything But Christ? Do we have the support to pass the NC Religious Freedom Restoration Act?” The tweet included hashtags referencing North Carolina politics.

In another post on the same day, Echevarria commented on Christianity’s historical impact. He stated: “Historically, Christianity’s influence has been the positive force behind what is prosperous, decent, and good in our state and nation. Now, for the first time in our nation’s history, Christianity needs protection.”

A third tweet from March 31 simply read: “Hard to argue against this. #ncpol #northcarolina”

Echevarria was elected to his seat in 2025 after replacing Kristin Baker as representative for North Carolina’s 82nd House district.
