Rep. Kelly Hastings, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 110th House district since 2011, has recently posted several updates on his social media account addressing local events and constituent questions.
On August 17, 2025, Hastings shared his participation in a National Rifle Association event in Gaston County. He stated, “We ended the day at the @NRA banquet in @GastonCounty. We showed up to show our support for Second Amendment rights. #2A #ncpol”.
Two days later, on August 19, 2025, Hastings responded to inquiries about lottery figures in North Carolina. He clarified his position and provided resources for those interested: “Many asked me for the latest lottery figures. I was not in office when the lottery passed, & I don’t play the lottery. I don’t have enough money to gamble. I am providing the information for those who want to see the actual numbers from our fiscal staff. #ncpol https://t.co/JdB58rNDYa”.
In another post dated August 18, 2025, he replied with a brief question regarding information sources: “Where did you hear that? https://t.co/8r8DF71HEn”.
