Rep. Kelly Hastings, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 110th district since 2011, posted a series of messages on social media between August 4 and August 6, 2025. The posts highlighted support for the United States Coast Guard, law enforcement officers, and U.S. Army soldiers.
On August 4, Hastings celebrated the anniversary of a key military branch by posting: “United States Coast Guard Atlantic Area > Our Organization > District 5 > District Units > Sector North Carolina – Happy birthday, @USCG! “
The following day, on August 5, he expressed gratitude for being included in a community event focused on public safety personnel: “Thankful to be invited to #NationalNightOut to support law enforcement officers, their support staff, and other first responders as they build community relationships. #NationalNightOut2025 #ncpol https://t.co/vNgsuHqC0E”
On August 6, after reports emerged regarding an attack involving U.S. Army soldiers, Hastings commented: “Hoping for the best for our @USArmy soldiers who came under attack today. We are still waiting on the facts.”
