Rep. Charlie Miller, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 19th House district, shared reflections and condolences on social media following the passing of fellow legislator Rep. Mike Clampitt.

On March 17, 2026, Miller marked a holiday with a message to his constituents: “Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Thankful for the blessings we share across our great state.”

The following day, he addressed the loss of Rep. Mike Clampitt in two posts. In one tweet dated March 18, 2026, Miller wrote: “I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, Rep. Mike Clampitt. Mike was more than just a fellow legislator, he was a trusted friend, a man of conviction, and someone who truly cared about the people he served. His commitment to doing what was right never wavered.” In another post at the same time, Miller added: “I will always be grateful for the time I had working alongside him, the conversations we shared, and the friendship we built. Please join me in keeping his family, friends, and all who knew him in your prayers during this difficult time.”

Miller has served in the North Carolina State House since 2021 after being elected to represent District 19 and succeeding Ted Davis Jr.
