Rep. Ben Moss, a Republican representing North Carolina’s 52nd House district since 2023, recently reiterated his positions on parental rights in education and the Second Amendment through a series of posts on social media.

On April 15, 2026, Moss posted, “Parents know what’s best for their children — not politicians. I’m committed to defending parental rights, increasing transparency in our schools, and pushing back against bureaucratic overreach that sidelines families.” In a follow-up post on the same day, he added, “That means ensuring parents have full access to curriculum, clear communication from schools, and the ability to make decisions that reflect their values. When we trust parents and keep politics out of the classroom, our students, families, and communities are stronger.”

Two days later, on April 17, Moss addressed gun rights in recognition of Second Amendment Day. He stated: “Second Amendment Day is a reminder of the freedoms our country was built on. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Every American has the right to defend themselves and their families, and I will always fight to protect that right.”

Moss was elected to the North Carolina State House in 2023 after replacing former state representative Jamie Boles. He has positioned himself as an advocate for parental involvement in education policy and as a defender of constitutional gun rights.
