Rep. Allen Chesser, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 25th district, announced his bid for re-election in a series of social media posts between December 5 and December 7, 2025.

On December 5, Chesser declared his candidacy with a message to constituents: “Breaking News It’s official, I am running for re-election! Our community deserves a representative who isn’t afraid to take on tough issues, stand firm on principles, and build real solutions. I’ve worked every day to do exactly that. If the voters give me the privilege to”.

Later that same day, Chesser acknowledged the retirement of a longtime public servant: “Congratulations to Tim Hayworth on his retirement after 39 years of service to the State of North Carolina and the NC State Highway Patrol! #ncpol #ncleg”.

On December 7, he commented on local community engagement during the holiday season: “Always an amazing turnout at the Rocky Mount Christmas Parade! #ncpol #ncleg”.

Chesser was first elected in 2023 as a Republican representative for North Carolina’s 25th House district, succeeding James Gailliard. His recent posts highlight both his ongoing campaign efforts and involvement in community events as well as recognition of state employees’ service.
