Raleigh has secured the second position in Point2Homes’ 2025 ranking of top U.S. metropolitan areas for single-family home renters. The evaluation considered 75 large metros, focusing on factors such as affordability, the strength of the job market, housing conditions, and the quality of life.

Raleigh was acknowledged for its thriving technology sector, affordable housing market, and robust job opportunities. A significant percentage of the city’s residents hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, which, along with an expanding inventory of build-to-rent homes, played a crucial role in its ranking.

The city’s low unemployment rates and accessible amenities further enhanced its attractiveness for renters. An analyst noted, “Raleigh’s booming tech sector and affordable housing significantly contributed to its high ranking.”

These key elements combined to position Raleigh as a favorable choice for individuals seeking single-family rental homes. The detailed findings of the study underscore the city’s potential as a leading living destination.
