North Carolina Democrats are set to vote on a resolution that proposes an embargo on all military aid to Israel. The vote is scheduled for Saturday, June 28. The resolution claims that military resources provided to Israel have been used in actions described as genocide and war crimes in Gaza.

The resolution, available on the party’s website, states: “The military resources that have been made available to Israel through annual and emergency military aid have been used to commit the crime of genocide and other war crimes in Gaza.” It further notes that recent Gallup polling indicates Democratic voters show 59% support for the Palestinian people.

The document concludes with a call for action: “RESOLVED, That the North Carolina Democratic Party supports an immediate embargo on all military aid, weapons shipments and military logistical support to Israel.”

This move comes shortly after President Trump’s decision to target Iranian nuclear facilities. Critics of the resolution argue it demonstrates hostility from today’s Democratic Party towards Israel and Jewish communities in the United States.
