Michael Lee, a Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate representing the 7th district since 2023, recently addressed constituents through social media posts about Easter and environmental protection.

On April 5, 2026, Lee shared an Easter message on his Twitter account: “Happy Easter! Today we celebrate the hope and new life that comes through the resurrection. Wishing you and your family a blessed day.”

The following day, April 6, Lee posted about efforts to safeguard water resources in North Carolina. He stated: “Protecting our water is non-negotiable. Last week, I along with several of my Senate colleagues sent a bipartisan letter to the Environmental Management Commission opposing Fuquay-Varina’s request to withdraw millions of gallons of water from our state’s Cape Fear River Basin”. A subsequent post included only a link: “https://t.co/yW92hFgUuU”.

Lee began serving in the North Carolina State Senate after being elected in 2023, succeeding Jim Perry as senator for District 7.
