Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland addressed several key policy areas in a series of tweets on December 1, 2025, highlighting her focus on agriculture, healthcare, and international relations.

In her first post of the day, Strickland emphasized support for local farmers: “It’s important that our local farmers have every opportunity to thrive. That’s why I’m joining @RepKimSchrier and @RepMGP in prioritizing funding for innovative, climate-resilient crops produced by low-income and minority farmers.” (December 1, 2025). She included a link to further information about the initiative.

Later that afternoon, Strickland turned attention to healthcare affordability: “Mixed signals don’t lower costs. @POTUS and the @HouseGOP need to protect the health care tax credits that millions depend on.” (December 1, 2025).

In a third tweet posted that evening, Strickland reflected on diplomatic relations following a meeting with Consul General Weichel: “Good meeting with Consul General Weichel. From trade partners to national security allies, the relationship between Washington and Canada remains strong.” (December 1, 2025).

Strickland has previously served as a Republican representative in the North Carolina State House beginning in 2017 after succeeding James Langdon, Jr., representing the state’s 28th House district.
