Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has recently highlighted federal investments and commemorated significant events through a series of posts on her official social media account.

On April 3, 2026, Strickland posted about the impact of federal infrastructure funding in her district. She wrote, “The #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw continues to #deliverfortheSouthSound, including providing over $1M in federal funding to the @CityofLakewood. Lakewood is enhancing their downtown transportation options and further connecting our community.”

The following day, she reflected on the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. On April 4, 2026, Strickland stated, “Today marks 58 years since Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered. Because he dreamed that our country could be just and fair.

Let today serve as a reminder – we must strive for a future that unites us rather than divides us.”

On April 5, 2026, Strickland extended holiday greetings to her constituents and others across the nation: “Happy #Easter to all who celebrate! Wishing those in the #SouthSound and across the nation a day filled with family and joy.”

Strickland was elected to represent North Carolina’s 28th House district in 2017 after succeeding James Langdon, Jr.
