She emphasized the importance of the partnership between the United States and Japan, noting that “Japan is a top job creator in the #SouthSound and across our state, providing over 15K jobs.” The discussion spanned topics such as economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, national security, and trade. “I met with the Consulate-General of Japan to discuss the strong partnership between the United States and Japan.”

On May 11, 2025, she extended a warm greeting on social media for Mother’s Day. In her tweet, she acknowledged mothers, guardians, and caregivers both in her district and nationwide by stating: “Happy #MothersDay to all the mothers, guardians, and caregivers in the #SouthSound and across the nation.” This message underscored her recognition of familial roles across diverse communities.

The following day on May 12, 2025, Strickland expressed criticism towards certain policies impacting military personnel. She argued that these policies fail to enhance national safety while creating divisions within military ranks. Her post articulated concerns about inclusivity within armed forces: “This does absolutely nothing to make our nation more safe. It divides our military and tells qualified people that they don’t belong.”
