Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has recently used her social media platform to address several issues, including federal worker pay, legislative priorities in the House of Representatives, and support for local businesses.

On March 27, 2026, Strickland posted about current events and government spending priorities. She wrote: “War happening. Americans not being paid. And you think now is the time…for a new app?” (March 27, 2026).

Later that day, she commented on House GOP actions regarding TSA worker compensation: “The @HouseGOP is unserious about paying TSA workers. We have a bipartisan bill from the Senate. Bring it to the floor for a vote. Fund TSA, no blank check for ICE.” (March 27, 2026).

On March 28, Strickland highlighted her engagement with small business owners in her district: “Met with #SouthSound local business founder, Reggie, of Chalet Bowl in Tacoma. It was good to hear firsthand how the federal government can continue supporting our home-grown businesses.

The longest operating bowling alley in WA, Chalet Bowl has served our home since 1941.”
(March 28, 2026).

Marilyn Strickland serves as a member of Congress and has focused part of her recent public communication on worker pay during times of conflict and support for longstanding local businesses.
