Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has recently addressed several policy issues on her social media account, focusing on gender pay equity, legislative leadership, and federal funding priorities.

On March 26, 2026, Strickland wrote: “Women are still earning less than men. This is unacceptable — we must continue fighting for women’s equality and fair pay.”

The following day, March 27, she highlighted her legislative efforts by stating: “Well, yes! Proud to lead my Care Across Generations Act. Read: https://t.co/SRiW8Dz8w1 https://t.co/RniUkGiKI2”

Later that same day, Strickland commented on federal funding and transportation security: “Americans shouldn’t be on the chopping block just because @POTUS wants to fund his personal militia. Pay the TSA. Stop the nonsense.”

Marilyn Strickland was elected to public office in 2017 as a Republican representing North Carolina’s 28th House district after succeeding James Langdon, Jr.
