Rep. Kelly Hastings, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 110th district since 2011, shared several updates on his social media accounts in early August 2025.
On August 1, Hastings acknowledged appreciation from Americans for Prosperity North Carolina (AFPNC), posting: “Thank you for the kind words, @AFPNC! I’m always glad to help. #ncpol https://t.co/MMZQvRJcM3”.
The following day, he highlighted a local event in his district, writing: “Great food and bluegrass music at the @NewgrassBrewing 10th anniversary celebration in the 110th House District of North Carolina, including parts of @clevelandcounty & @GastonCounty, #NorthCarolina. #ncpol” (August 2).
Later that same day, Hastings commented on an unusual weather pattern: “One of the coolest August temperatures, off the mountain, that I can remember in many years. “ (August 2).
Hastings has served as representative for North Carolina’s 110th House district since being elected in 2011, succeeding Pearl Burris-Floyd.
