RALEIGH, N.C. – The voting results for the 2024-25 Lady Byng Trophy were released, showing Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin finishing in fourth place.
The Lady Byng Trophy is given annually to a player “adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability” by the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA). This year, Los Angeles Kings captain Anze Kopitar was awarded the trophy, marking his third career win.
Slavin received the third-most first-place votes, totaling 33. He is a two-time recipient of the Lady Byng Trophy, having won it in 2020-21 and 2023-24. Over the past six seasons, he has consistently finished among the top five and has received votes for nine consecutive years.
