Carolina Hurricanes forward Mark Jankowski’s participation in Game 2 against the Washington Capitals remains uncertain as he is a game-time decision. Jankowski, who joined the team at the trade deadline, left during the second period of Game 1 with an undisclosed injury and did not return. If Jankowski is unable to play, Jack Roslovic or Tyson Jost are expected to take his place.

The Hurricanes are anticipated to start Frederik Andersen in goal again. Andersen had a relatively easy night in Game 1, facing only 14 shots over more than 63 minutes of play.

Forwards for tonight’s projected lineup include Svechnikov, Aho, Blake, Hall, Kotkaniemi, Stankoven, Martinook, Staal, Jarvis, Robinson, and either Jankowski or Roslovic alongside Carrier. The defense will consist of Slavin paired with Burns; Orlov with Chatfield; and Gostisbehere with Walker. Kochetkov will serve as backup goaltender.

Jesper Fast remains out for the season due to a neck injury. Scratches for tonight include Tyson Jost, Alexander Nikishin, Jack Roslovic (pending), and Riley Stillman.

The power-play units feature Aho, Blake, Jarvis, Svechnikov with Gostisbehere on PP1; and Hall, Kotkaniemi along with Stankoven supported by Burns and Walker on PP2.

Tonight’s betting odds have the Canes favored at -175 according to Fanatics Sportsbook.

Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Washington D.C.
