The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Florida Panthers in the second game of their series, hoping to recover from a previous loss. The match is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, with puck drop at 8:00 p.m. ET. Fans can watch on TNT, truTV, Max; SN, TVAS or listen via 99.9 The Fan and the Hurricanes App.

The Hurricanes have had a strong playoff run so far, overcoming both the New Jersey Devils and Washington Capitals in earlier rounds. However, they faced challenges in Game 1 against Florida, losing 5-2 due to “too many mistakes.” Despite this setback, Carolina has shown resilience after losses this postseason with a record of 2-0 in such situations.

Seth Jarvis continues to be a key player for Carolina with points in five consecutive postseason games. Frederik Andersen aims to bounce back after allowing five goals on 20 shots in Game 1.

Florida’s coach Paul Maurice acknowledged that while his team won Game 1, there were areas for improvement. Sergei Bobrovsky’s performance was notable as he faced his highest number of shots yet this postseason.

Injury updates include Jalen Chatfield and Mark Jankowski still recovering but showing signs of progress. Jesper Fast remains out for the season.

Carolina will wear black uniforms at home throughout the playoffs and plan to travel to Florida following Thursday’s game for their next matchup on Saturday.
