Grant Campbell, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent North Carolina’s 83rd House district, has recently addressed key state and national issues through his social media posts.
On August 1, 2025, Campbell highlighted the passage of a mini-budget that included provisions for improving Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) services in North Carolina. He wrote, “Mini-budget passed this week includes funding for a new DMV location in Cabarrus County as a start in addressing the disaster that is the lack of DMV service and responsiveness to NC citizens.”
Later that day, Campbell expressed appreciation for Dr. Jeff Cox’s leadership at the North Carolina Community Colleges system. In his post, he stated, “Dr. Jeff Cox led a journey with @NCCommColleges that began with stabilization and became transformation. It was an honor to be a State Board member during his tenure. He is an admired colleague and a dear friend. Thank you Jeff for all you have done for the #Great58!” This message underscored Campbell’s involvement with educational governance during Cox’s tenure.
On August 4, 2025, Campbell commented on actions by Texas Democrats regarding redistricting practices: “Texas state legislature Democrats are flying to Chicago to protest ‘gerrymandering.’ Just wanted to show you Illinois districts that, evidently, are the gold standard in their eyes…”
Campbell assumed office after being elected to replace Kevin Crutchfield as representative of North Carolina’s 83rd House district.
