Grant Campbell, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 83rd district, has recently shared updates on social media regarding state funding and personal decisions about potential coaching roles.

On March 25, Campbell announced the restoration of funding for a key maternal health initiative. He wrote, “VICTORY! Funding for Perinatal Quality Collaborative of NC will be fully restored on April 1. https://t.co/1d8Hbo9NHH”.

The following day, Campbell addressed speculation about his involvement with the University of North Carolina’s athletic program. On March 26 he posted, “I have appreciated @UNC not telling the press that I’m being pursued, obviously for my privacy. I have respectfully asked for my name to be withdrawn as a candidate for the head coach position due to my other commitments and my absolute lack of coaching experience or talent…”.

On March 27, Campbell posted another update without additional comment: “https://t.co/szDrEDF3HA”.

Campbell was elected in 2025 to represent North Carolina’s 83rd House district, succeeding Kevin Crutchfield.
