Erin Paré, a Republican elected to the North Carolina State House in 2021 representing the state’s 37th House district, recently posted several statements on her social media account regarding fiscal arrangements in Wake County and upcoming local elections.

On December 14, 2025, Paré wrote, “In addition, Cary receives 5% of the total occupancy tax collected in Wake County every single year, due to a 30 year old agreement with the county that shouldn’t exist anymore. That’s millions of dollars in a direct payment from the county every year to just Cary with zero https://t.co/Fj4wEQMqer”.

Two days later, on December 16, 2025, she addressed her followers again: “Is this okay with you? It’s not okay with me. Vote John Adcock to Wake BOC in November 2026. #ncpol https://t.co/0NpkcvsA6n”.

Later that same day, Paré issued another post clarifying an earlier message: “Typo in above pic. Here’s the correction. https://t.co/Tzc6WMYSex”.

Paré succeeded Sydney Batch as state representative for North Carolina’s 37th House district following her election in 2021.
