Erin Paré, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House representing the 37th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to announce new legislative responsibilities and share views on state policy decisions.

On December 8, 2025, Paré posted that she had been appointed Co-Chair of a newly established committee focused on property tax issues. She wrote, “Breaking News – Rep. Erin Paré has been appointed Co-Chair of the new Select Committee on Property Tax Reduction and Reform by @ncspeakerhall. ‘I’m proud to lead on property tax reform and co-chair this much-needed committee. Sky-rocketing property taxes are killing family”.

Two days later, on December 10, 2025, Paré commented on Medicaid policy in North Carolina, criticizing Governor Roy Cooper’s approach. She stated, “Playing politics with the Medicaid population was wrong from the start and it has backfired on the Governor. Embarrassing.”

Later that same day, Paré highlighted her role in securing funding for Wake County Public Schools as part of her duties as House Appropriations Chair. She said, “Friendly reminder that as a House Appropriations Chair, I secured $2 million for Wake County Public Schools to support mental health services for students, and roughly 50% of the Democrat Wake delegation in the House voted against it. I also secured funding for HVAC solutions”.

Paré was elected to represent North Carolina’s 37th House district in 2021 after succeeding Sydney Batch. As a member of the Republican Party in the state legislature, she has focused on fiscal issues such as property tax reform and school funding.
