Congresswoman Deborah Ross, representing North Carolina’s 2nd district, shared a series of tweets touching on various social issues affecting her constituents. In her communications, Ross acknowledged significant religious and cultural events, as well as important deadlines for federal assistance.

On March 30, 2025, Ross extended warm greetings to Muslim communities as Ramadan concluded, stating “Eid Mubarak to Muslim communities in #NC02 & beyond! As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, may the festivities of Eid bring health & happiness to you and your loved ones.”

A day later, on March 31, she addressed transgender rights, marking the Trans Day of Visibility. Ross tweeted “This #TransDayOfVisibility, we must recommit ourselves to protecting transgender individuals in North Carolina & fight to ensure everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Trans people deserve the freedom to live openly & be protected under the law.”

Later that day, Ross posted about the upcoming deadline for residents of North Carolina to apply for FEMA disaster relief. She noted that “The deadline for North Carolinians to apply for FEMA disaster relief, including temporary housing and home repair costs, is a week away. Apply before April 7th at https://t.co/QyiviiUgta”

Ross, born in Philadelphia and a graduate of Brown University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has been serving in Congress since 2021, having previously served in the North Carolina House of Representatives.
