In a tweet dated April 6, 2025, Ross expressed her gratitude towards Chief Smith for his service to the Town of Garner. She acknowledged his contribution: “Thank you, Chief Smith, for faithfully serving the Town of Garner the past three decades. You have made our community safer, and we wish you the best of luck in your retirement.”
On April 7, 2025, Congresswoman Ross shared her interaction with AP Government students from Southeast Raleigh High School ahead of their upcoming exams. She remarked on the exchange: “So great having a mini town hall with AP Government students at Southeast Raleigh High School before they take their AP exams next month. It was wonderful to discuss my work in Congress and answer their questions.”
