Today, the North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in favor of election integrity protests led by Judge Jefferson Griffin. The court’s decision holds the North Carolina State Board of Elections responsible for its actions and ensures that all legitimate votes will be counted in this election.

Judge Griffin, alongside the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP), has faced opposition and strong rhetoric during this process. The NCGOP maintained its stance, arguing that Judge Griffin’s concerns about election integrity would ultimately be upheld.

Key points highlighted in the decision include the need to address incomplete voter registrations due to the NCSBE’s failure to collect missing information. Additionally, it was asserted that individuals who are not residents of North Carolina cannot vote in the state’s elections.

“Our position has not wavered and today’s decision confirms the facts were on Judge Griffin’s side,” said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons. “This is a victory for the rule of law and election integrity.”

The ruling comes after months of criticism from Democrats, who were accused of conducting a personal smear campaign against Judge Griffin and his family. The NCGOP has called for an end to these actions, describing them as detrimental to democracy.
