Saint Augustine’s University maintained its tuition fees for the 2022-23 school year, as revealed in the most recent report, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students paid $16,896 to attend the private, not-for-profit four-year institution during both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Approximately 67% of the undergraduate student body at the university are residents of North Carolina, while around 30% come from other states.

Data indicates that 97% of full-time undergraduates who enrolled at Saint Augustine’s University in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. Specifically, 253 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $3 million, and 237 students secured loans exceeding $2 million.

Across the entire undergraduate population, 801 students benefited from grants or scholarships amounting to $9.2 million. Additionally, 684 students obtained federal student loans totaling $5.2 million.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
