Congresswoman Deborah Ross, currently serving North Carolina’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has addressed several pressing issues in recent social media posts.

On April 1, 2025, Ross highlighted Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, expressing her support for survivors seeking healing and justice. She added, “If you or a loved one needs help, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline by dialing (800) 656-4673.”

Later that day, Ross addressed the issue of proxy voting, noting its importance for new parents balancing congressional duties with family care. Criticizing Republican leadership’s stance, she stated, “I’ll continue standing with @RepPettersen to make sure constituents’ voices are heard.”

In another post on April 1, 2025, Ross criticized the SAVE Act for its potential adverse effects on women’s voting rights in North Carolina and nationwide. She stated, “The SAVE Act will hurt women across North Carolina and the country by suppressing their right to vote.” Ross emphasized her determination along with her colleagues from the Democratic Women’s Caucus to oppose this legislation, asserting that they “won’t stay quiet about the damage this bill could do.”
