The Community Police Academy is for those wanting to know more about the operations of the Durham Police Department. This will provide first-hand knowledge and front-line experiences such as Criminal Investigations and Forensics, and the use of force simulator will give participants the opportunity to be in the shoes of a police officer. The program begins with students meeting members of the executive command staff and concludes with a graduation ceremony for all students who meet the attendance requirements.
