CHICAGO – The Chicago Wolves secured a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs. This achievement coincides with the success of their NHL parent team, the Carolina Hurricanes, who clinched their own playoff berth.
The Wolves head to the playoffs with a 33-28-4-0 record, showcasing the strength of several Carolina Hurricanes prospects playing for Chicago. Among these, 2023 first-round draft pick Bradly Nadeau has made a significant impact, leading the team with 50 points in 59 games and topping all AHL rookies with 28 goals.
Scott Morrow, another standout, despite an earlier call-up by the Hurricanes, still maintains a share of the league lead in goals scored by a rookie defenseman with 13. Similarly, Ryan Suzuki, a 2019 first-round pick, is having a remarkable season, surpassing his previous best by nearly 20 points, with a total of 51 points in 62 games. Second-year player Justin Robidas has also made a noticeable contribution, ranking third on the team with 48 points in 65 games.
