The Carolina Hurricanes are set to maintain their existing lineup as they face the New Jersey Devils in Game 4 of their initial playoff series. This decision was communicated by head coach Rod Brind’Amour, who announced that Frederik Andersen will continue as the starting goaltender. Brind’Amour supported this decision by stating: “He gave us the ‘I want the net’ and that’s all you need to hear,” referring to Andersen’s expressed desire to remain in goal.

In the ongoing series, Andersen has delivered consistent performances, conceding only one goal in each of the first two matches. Although the Hurricanes were defeated in double overtime during Game 3, Andersen received recognition for his contribution, with 34 saves that kept the team in contention.

The projected lineup for today includes forwards Jarvis, Aho, Blake, Hall, Kotkaniemi, Svechnikov, among others, while the defense will feature Slavin, Burns, Orlov, and Chatfield. Andersen is set to start as the goaltender, with Kochetkov as the backup.

Despite sustaining a neck injury, Jesper Fast will remain sidelined for the rest of the 2024-25 season. Mark Jankowski, Tyson Jost, Alexander Nikishin, and Riley Stillman are the designated scratches for the game. Carolina’s power play units include top performers like Aho, Blake, and Svechnikov.

The match is scheduled to take place in New Jersey at 3:30 p.m.
