The Carolina Hurricanes will play their last home game of the regular season against the Boston Bruins at Lenovo Center on April 7. The matchup is set for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop, with fans able to watch on FanDuel Sports Network South or listen via local radio and the Hurricanes app.

This game holds significance as the Hurricanes aim to secure their fourth division title in six years by earning at least one point. The team currently leads the Metropolitan Division with a record of 49-22-6 and sits at 104 points. Their most recent outing resulted in a 6-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators, while Boston enters with a record of 43-26-9 after falling in overtime to Philadelphia.

Andrei Svechnikov extended his point streak to five games and is close to reaching his second career 30-goal season, trailing only Seth Jarvis for most goals by a Hurricane this year. In net, Brandon Bussi could start if Carolina continues its goalie rotation; he has won his last four starts and seeks his thirtieth win this season. Alternatively, Frederik Andersen may return after allowing five goals in Ottawa.

The Bruins arrive fighting for an Eastern Conference Wild Card spot but have struggled offensively lately, scoring just one goal per game over their last three contests. David Pastrnak leads Boston with strong playmaking numbers despite fewer goals than usual.

According to the official website, Lenovo Center serves as home venue for the Hurricanes, featuring over 700,000 square feet and seating up to 20,000 people while hosting more than 150 events each year. The team’s economic impact exceeds $200 million annually through events and community engagement according to venue information.

The Hurricanes have recognized notable players such as Eric Staal and Rod Brind’Amour in their Hall of Fame for significant contributions according to their official website. The franchise achieved a major milestone by winning the Stanley Cup in 2006 as reported by team history.

After Tuesday’s contest, Carolina will practice before heading out on a four-game road trip beginning Thursday against Chicago.
