Already holding a 2-0 series lead, the Carolina Hurricanes are set to maintain their lineup as they go into Game 3 against the New Jersey Devils on Friday. Frederik Andersen has shown strong performance at the start of this seven-game series, allowing only one goal in each of the initial two games. Winning 48 out of 50 shots faced, Andersen will start three consecutive contests for the first time since the 2024 postseason.

Ahead of Andersen, Jordan Martinook has been a key scorer with a goal and an assist in Game 2, leading the team with three points in the series. Martinook has previously excelled against New Jersey in the 2023 playoffs, obtaining 10 points in the Hurricanes’ five-game series victory.

The projected lineup for the Hurricanes includes the following forwards: Jarvis, Aho, and Blake; Hall, Kotkaniemi, and Svechnikov; Martinook, Staal, and Stankoven; and Robinson, Roslovic, and Carrier. On defense are Slavin and Burns; Orlov and Chatfield; and Gostisbehere and Walker. Andersen will be in goal with Kochetkov as the backup.

Jesper Fast will not be playing for the season due to a neck injury, and the scratches for the game include Mark Jankowski, Tyson Jost, and Riley Stillman.

Special teams formations show that the first power play will feature Aho, Blake, Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere, while the second will have Hall, Kotkaniemi, Roslovic, and Stankoven with Burns.

Fanatics Sportsbook has provided betting odds, placing the Hurricanes as the favorites at -170.
